CRAFTS CODE seminar - How to Innovate the Craft Sector
Join the CRAFTS CODE partners for their third ITS (Interregional Thematic Seminar) on the 10th and 11th of May, 9.30am-12.30pm GMT+1 each day. This two-day online seminar will include presentations from craft SMEs, organisations and stakeholders in Ireland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Finland, Italy and Spain. These presentations will revolve around 'good practices' relating to the topic 'how to innovate the craft sector'. This event will be hosted by project partner Design & Crafts Council Ireland.
This seminar is open to design and craft enterprises, SMEs, and DCCI stakeholders and all are welcome to attend.
Day 1 of the seminar will focus on ‘Good Practices’ presented by partner countries on the topic ‘How to Innovate the Craft Sector’. In Ireland, this will include presentations on the ‘Strategic Design for Innovation Programme’, which has been developed within the Design+ Technological Gateway in the Institute of Technology Carlow and ‘innovation Voucher’ scheme developed by Enterprise Ireland.
Day 2 will include a range of guest speakers, selected by us at DCCI, the host partner. We are delighted to be joined by Benchspace Cork and the Michelangelo Foundation and will also give our international audience an insight into DCCI and its current programmes for makers and designers. The full line-up will be announced soon so watch this space!
Important discussions on innovation in craft and design will take place across the two days and we hope you can join us and take part in directing the future of Irish craft and design. More info here.
