What's a typical day in the studio like for you?
A typical day for me starts with replying to emails and engaging with social media. After this, I love to settle into creating calligraphy artwork. Some days - I can be a rebel and totally get wrapped up in producing something beautiful or experimenting with new ideas.

What do you like most about your work?
I absolutely love zoning in and getting lost in bringing words to life! I really enjoy the projects that are challenging and creating new script styles.

What do you like least about your work?
Oh, have to say anything that takes me away from creating. As a micro-business owner, I normally take a deep breath and go for it.

What's your favourite craft item in your home?
My favourite craft item is a wooden plaque from the Indus Valley. It's beautifully handmade and I love it!

What other maker in your discipline do you most look up to?
There are too many calligraphers to mention one that I would look up more than others. It's wonderful to see so many new up and coming scribes.

What advice would you give someone who is considering this craft career?
Go for it! If it's something that you love - you will enjoy every single moment. Even the bad ones. And, keep the faith.

What's your favourite time of the day?
Early afternoon, I've normally have done all the admin and it's time to settle into creating.

How do you switch off?
I love to watch a good sci-fi to totally switch off.

How do you start your day?
The day always starts with a smile and gratitude.

What's the first thing you do when you leave the studio?
Nothing like a nice cup of tea.

Music when you're working?
Yes
