NCBI Pop-Up Shop

Posted 13.05.21

Following the success of its initial Pop-Up shop on Grafton Street over Christmas 2020, NCBI (National Council for the Blind of Ireland) is opening another charity Pop-Up Shop on Henry Street in Dublin for a few weeks and is looking for donations from Irish fashion designers.

NCBI’s chain of 120 charity shops are a vital source of funding to deliver life changing services to people who are blind or vision impaired across Ireland. This Pop-Up shop will be named Re:Newed for NCBI our bespoke Pop-Up brand. It will showcase the breadth of our high-quality designer stock from donations received from the public and designers. It will also challenge customer perceptions of pre-worn and vintage clothes, in true sustainable spirit.

This will be no ordinary charity shop as Re:Newed for NCBI was inspired by the London version that Harrod’s have developed, which was curated by Stella McCartney and runs every year for the month of March with NSPCC.

Any donations received from designers will be publicised in the store in a dedicated ‘Irish Designers Section’ and across all our media channels.

If you are interested in making a donation, please contact Beverley Scallan, NCBI Head of Retail on 087 610 2665.

Thank you in advance as your donation will help NCBI make up lost revenue due to the temporary shop closures in 2020 and 2021 arising from the Covid-19 pandemic.
