Siobhán O’Sullivan

Siobhán O’Sullivan

Siobhán O’Sullivan completed the Core Year at the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) and then left to focus on becoming a goldsmith under the tutelage of Lee Harding for two years with the goal of attending the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland’s (DCCoI) Jewellery & Goldsmithing Course. Throughout this course, Siobhán developed her knowledge of working with metal and it informed her approach to design, giving her a better understanding of the possibilities and limitations of making jewellery. In the past year, Siobhán’s work centred around exploring curvature and movement in her pieces. Upon finishing the course, she plans to advance her stone-setting and fine jewellery skills and will gain experience working within the jewellery industry.

“I have gained an unbelievable amount of knowledge on this course and with the assistance of Eimear, Marie, Inga and all of the visiting tutors, I have been able to push my craft. I’m excited to take the skills I’ve learned here and to develop them further in the jewellery industry.”
