Limerick School of Art and Design
Limerick School of Art & Design (LSAD) is a constituent College of Limerick Institute of Technology and is the largest art and design centre outside Dublin with students attending from all over Ireland. LSAD has an award-winning reputation in ceramics, fashion, visual communications, painting, printmaking, sculpture & combined media and teacher education. The programmes are offered at Honours Degree (Level 8). LSAD also offers a higher diploma in teacher education and research postgraduate programmes up to Masters (Level 9) and PhD (Level 10).
A significant factor in LSAD’s success is their student-orientated philosophy. Incoming students share a common first year that is predominantly diagnostic. This enables students to become literate in the language of art and design, and allows them to make informed choices for their future career. The entry route for all undergraduate programmes is through First Year Art & Design.
