Peannairí
Peannairi is a society of calligraphers based in Dublin and is the leading organisers of calligraphy classes in Ireland. The aim of Peannairí is to encourage and nurture the calligrapher’s craft and the development of fine writing in Ireland. Evening classes, leading to a diploma in calligraphy at three levels are available as well as classes for beginners, at three locations in Dublin. Regular weekend workshops on different aspects of calligraphy and related crafts are also organised as well as a correspondence course that can be taken at your own pace. There is usually a lecture or a slide show on calligraphy related topics at the monthly meetings. Peannairí is affiliated with Calligraphy and Lettering Arts in England.
