Na Píobairí Uilleann (NPU) is delighted to have achieved the Investors in Diversity Silver Award from the Irish Centre for Diversity. (see press release below) The Award reflects the successful work carried out to date by NPU to embed Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) across the organisation, work that is increasingly important given the diverse interest in the uilleann pipes, both nationally and globally, and the emergence of new voices in Ireland. Borris Lacemakers | Common Threads: Laces Across The Border. Congratulations to Ed Coulson and all at Claremorris Community Radio who were honoured for their production The Headford Lace Story at the 2021 Community Radio Ireland Achievement Awards recently. The Irish Guild of Embroiderers | The Irish Guild of Embroiderers launched their book 'Twenty Twenty' in November to celebrate 20 years of the organisation it is available to purchase from their website. |

Alex specialises in remaking vintage jewellery into stunning modern designs and Annemarie creates amazing nature inspired pieces. You can check out their profiles here. |
Na Píobairí Uilleann | New video featuring some past students of the instrument making course in conjunction with BCFE. National College of Art & Design (NCAD) | National College of Art & Design, Dublin ‘The Reprint Project’, an innovative collaboration between National College of Art & Design and Kingspan Water & Energy. The research project explored how digital technology offers new tools for engaging with materials. The results included an innovative exhibition of wearable art. Find out more here. |
