Posted 23.09.21

Clare Arts Office are inviting Primary and Secondary schools to submit their applications for the Artist in Schools Residencies Scheme 2021 - 2022. This year we are awarding residencies to the value of €1,200.

Schools can select the following artists for the purpose of making the application:

  • artists on our artists in schools panel (External link) (External link)(External link)and/or
  • artists who have undertaken one of the Teacher ~Artist Partnership(External link) courses run in association with Clare Education Centre

Aims of the Scheme

The Clare Arts Office Artists in Schools Programme is designed to create opportunities for artists and schools to work together over a specific duration of time.

We favour projects that are innovative, unique and that foster creativity, skills development and an introduction to the language used in art making.

We also encourage projects that introduce children to experience the cross disciplinary nature of the arts, projects which connect ideas and art making to other subjects e.g. history, science, the environment, local, national and global cultures and traditions.

Projects can be collaborative and involve other creative practitioners and organisations but must be developed with the input of both the artist and the school.

Visit the Clare County Council website for full details

The closing date for applications for is 5pm, Friday 15th October.
