Open call for applications from artists and practitioners based in Ireland working with locally sourced natural materials to participate in forthcoming exhibition Timpeallacht.
Timpeallacht is a collaborative exhibition presented by Kilcoe Studios and Skibbereen Arts Festival. The exhibition will run across two venues, first as part of the Skibbereen Arts festival toward the end of July (venue and dates to be confirmed) and then in Kilcoe Studios, Ballydehob for the month of August ’22.
Drawing on the use of locally available materials in many of our heritage crafts (such as rushes, straw, wool, natural dyes etc) the exhibition seeks to showcase the creative use of natural materials in the work of contemporary makers. We are looking for artists who’s primary media is sourced from their local environment whether collected or cultivated.
