DCCI Ceramics Skills & Design Course | Application 2020

The DCCI Ceramics Skills and Design Course is now inviting applications for the 2020-2022 course.

Deadline for applications is Friday 20th March 2020.

To have your application accepted for the Ceramics Skills and Design Course you must fulfill the following criteria

  • Provide two relevant written references before the application deadline.
  • Have the application form completed in full and include a current passport sized photograph.
  • Applicants must be 18 on or before September 1st in the year of application.

Before you complete the application form please consult the Design & Crafts Council Ireland ceramics course page, www.ceramicscourse.ie, to ensure that you are fully aware of the nature of the jewellery skills training course.

The fees will be €2,000 per annum for Irish/EU citizens. (Fees for UK students studying in Ireland will remain at EU level for the 2020 ceramics intake.) Fees of €9,500 per annum will apply for non-EU students in line with standard practice in the higher education sector.

Interview process

  • If you are selected for interview you will be invited to bring a portfolio of work demonstrating visual ability, creativity and manual dexterity. (Do not send this work in advance)
  • Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd June, 2020. Interviews will take place in the Design & Crafts Council  Ireland offices in Kilkenny.
  • If you are short-listed for the course you will be asked to take a bench test. Tests are scheduled for Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th June 2020.
  • If a laptop is required for your presentation please bring your own to the interview.
