I'm interested in the Irish Surreal Narrative and the uncanny Grotesque. My work explores the juxtaposition of extreme contrasts in beauty and monstrosity, or desire and revulsion. I'm interested in the rational and the irrationally transcendental subduing or normalising the unknown, and I invite them to control it. I'm interested in the viewer's projection of the work. In how the work can act as a vessel of séance or memorial. I love to incorporate Copper into my work since the Vikings, its grounding, pliable yet sturdy, if coiled it can act as electroculture, it brings the work to life, it invites a grounded calm and it conducts your projection.
