MADE LOCAL BACKGROUND AND BENEFIT
#MadeLocal was initially developed by Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) in 2020 to help the Irish craft and design sector through the challenges brought about by COVID-19.
Now in it’s fifth year, the campaign brings together retailers, consumers and media to celebrate and support Irish makers and their work and to drive Irish made craft sales.
The Made Local campaign is a year-round social media campaign, supported by high profile national advertising and marketing campaigns.
All makers who register to participate in the #MADELOCAL campaign must:
- be registered clients of Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI)
- be designing and making products in Ireland – See Note 1 and 2
- must clearly label product provenance (on product packaging / labels and online) See Note 1 and 2
- commit to providing up to date and accurate information to DCCI as required
- hold the License for Use for all images and videos submitted
- agree that content submitted to DCCI can be used for
- promotional purposes on all DCCI websites, social media and promotional networks
Note 1: Products must be made in Ireland. If you are unsure if your product is made in Ireland, please click on the following link: Country of Origin
Note 2: If you have multiple products and some of them are not made in Ireland, you can only use Made Local branding on the ones that are made in Ireland.
DCCI reserve the right to audit clients to ensure accuracy of the information submitted – anyone deemed to have provided inaccurate information may be removed from the #MADELOCAL campaign and risk being de-registered from DCCI.
