With a background in fashion and costume design, INAKSY creates limited edition, handcrafted products inspired by design history and the natural world – the shapes, patterns and colours that surround us. The INAKSY method is simple: Magdalena sources the most interesting and beautiful textiles that she can find. She then mix, matches, and stitches these fabrics together to create unique, hybridised design pieces. Each piece is hand-cut and stitched using high grade materials carefully chosen for both their practical utility and aesthetic appeal.

What’s a typical day in the studio like for you?

Cutting, sewing, ironing, organising fabrics and leather skins.

What do you like most about your work?

I can be as creative with colours and patterns as much as I want. Designing relaxes me.

What’s your favourite time of the day?

Afternoon.

How do you switch off?

Walk with my dog, dance.

What’s the first thing you do when you leave the studio?

My studio is at home so I am going to the kitchen.

With a coffee.
