DCCI invites applications for the David Shaw-Smith Legacy Award designed for master craftspeople.
The award was inspired by Joe Hogan, a traditional basket maker and fine artist at the DCCI’s 2022 AGM.
DCCI has created the award to honour the legacy of the late David Shaw-Smith, recognising that Irish craft is driven by heritage and creativity.
The award is to support and recognise the achievements of our master craftspeople in the creative development of their craft.
How much is it worth:
The award has a value of €5,000.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must:
- Be registered with DCCI for 5 years or more
- Be aged 50 or older
- Not have previously received a DCCI bursary·
- Agree to the Terms & Conditions and Data Protection Policy
Deadline:
The deadline for receipt of applications is 29 November 2025.
