Irish Design Week Events Terms & Conditions

All events:

  • Event hosts will include Irish Design Week branding on any promotional material associated with the project.
  • Proposals must fit the purposes of Irish Design Week (see application introduction above).

Funding applications only:

  • Awards are offered subject to the availability of funding.
  • The GANS fund is open to existing GANS or those who will undertake the membership process to apply for this fund. Only approved GANS will receive GANS funding support.
  • Maximum amounts, matched-funding and drawdown schedules will be assessed case by case.
  • Funding cannot be granted retrospectively for projects that have already taken place.
  • Funding cannot be allocated for capital expenditure or fixed assets such as equipment.
  • All liabilities incurred due to commercial risk and/or under performance in terms of projected revenue of a proposal in receipt of funding from DCCI are the applicants’ sole responsibility.
  • Funding must be used for the project as outlined in the application and in the year 2023. Failure to utilise funding as outlined in the proposal will be deemed a breach of agreed terms and conditions and may necessitate repayment of any and all allocated funds to DCCI.
  • Successful applicants agree to complete their proposed project within the agreed timeline and tender a report of the activity measuring the success of the objectives.
  • Funding recipients will acknowledge DCCI on any promotional material associated with the project.
  • Recipients may be required to make a presentation at a future DCCI seminar, conference or appropriate event.
  • Payment: a drawdown schedule will be provided, final grants will be paid on submission of receipts / paid invoices (for full expenditure), written evaluation, demonstration of acknowledgement of DCCI support and request for final drawdown.
  • DCCI reserves the right to withdraw or redistribute funding in the event that applications received are not of sufficient quality. All decisions concerning applications are final.

Content Usage and Promotion:

  • Content submitted can be used to promote Irish Design Week (IDW) on our channels.
  • Organisers agree to be part of the campaign and accept that their events may be pitched to media. They also accept that they may be contacted by a project manager or contractor working on behalf of the Design & Crafts Council Ireland.
  • When promoting their event, organizers must include Irish Design Week branding and assets in all promotional materials.
