Thinking about shopping Made Local or exploring Irish craft and design? We’ve answered the questions we hear most often right here — from finding makers and retailers to discovering the stories, skills, and craftsmanship behind every Made Local product.

The Made Local campaign celebrates the exceptional talent, skill, and creativity of Ireland’s designers and makers. There are 1,511 Made Local makers and 356 Made Local retailers across every county in Ireland.

Made Local is a reminder to people that buying locally produced, well-crafted products is meaningful, sustainable, and impactful.

To join the MADE LOCAL campaign as a maker, you must be a registered DCCI client, design and make eligible products in Ireland, clearly label product provenance, and provide accurate information to DCCI.

To participate in the MADELOCAL campaign as a retailer, you must stock at least three Made Local designer-maker brands, provide DCCI with an up-to-date list of participating brands, and use #MADELOCAL branding only to promote Irish-made craft products.

All Made Local Makers and Retailers are listed in the Made Local directory. There you will find more information about the makers and their products, contact details and links to their websites.

Made Local has two major campaigns each year, Summer which runs from June to August and Christmas which runs from October to December.

Made Local is for all year round. In the lead up to Christmas, the Made Local campaign shares amazing makers and retailers and great gift ideas for Christmas.
