Irish Design Week returns for its fifth year with its most ambitious programme yet — a week-long, nationwide celebration of design in all its forms, from fashion and architecture to craft and graphic design.
With Ireland holding the EU Presidency, IDW 2026 takes the theme Fáilte Future Europe, pairing the warmth of Irish welcome with a forward-looking European agenda. The centrepiece is the prestigious European Creative Industries Summit, hosted in partnership with the Federation of European Creative Industries, bringing creative leaders from across the continent to Ireland.
Whether you’re hosting a workshop, launching a prototype, or opening your studio to the public, if your event reflects the power of design to connect and create change, we want to hear from you. Through the funding available, there’s real opportunity to bring your ideas to life.
DCCI Irish Design Week event application guidelines:
Events should take place during Irish Design Week (7-14 November 2026), but may also begin before or continue after these dates if appropriate.
Events must take place in Ireland.
Closing date for Open Call submissions is 12th September 5pm GMT.
