The DCCI Irish Craft Village returned to Bloom 2026 with its biggest celebration yet, bringing together some of Ireland’s most talented makers, designers and craftspeople for five unforgettable days in the Phoenix Park.
As Bloom marked its milestone 20th anniversary, visitors to the Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) Craft Village discovered exceptional handmade products, live demonstrations, inspiring conversations and a unique opportunity to meet the makers behind Ireland’s thriving craft and design sector.
Over the course of the festival, thousands of visitors explored the Craft Village, shopped directly from makers, attended demonstrations and discovered the stories behind contemporary Irish craft. From ceramics and jewellery to textiles, woodturning and sustainable design, the Craft Village once again proved to be one of Bloom’s most popular destinations.

1. Celebrating 20 Years of Bloom
Bloom’s 20th anniversary created a special atmosphere throughout the festival, with visitors embracing the opportunity to celebrate two decades of gardening, food, sustainability and creativity. The DCCI Craft Village played a central role in the celebrations, showcasing the very best of Irish craft and design alongside Bloom’s anniversary programme.
2. Meeting Ireland’s Makers
One of the highlights of every Bloom is the chance to meet the makers themselves. Visitors enjoyed hearing the stories behind handcrafted products, learning about traditional and contemporary techniques, and discovering the passion that drives Ireland’s craft community.

3. Live Craft Demonstrations
Crowds gathered throughout the week to watch skilled makers demonstrate their craft in real time. From intricate jewellery-making and textile techniques to ceramic processes and woodcraft, the demonstrations gave visitors a rare insight into the expertise behind handmade Irish products.

4. Sustainability in Action
Sustainability remained a defining theme throughout Bord Bia Bloom 2026, with visitors inspired by makers using locally sourced materials, low-impact production methods and circular design principles. The DCCI Irish Craft Village highlighted how Irish craft and design continue to lead the way in responsible, sustainable and innovative making.
5. Sustainable Living Stage
The Sustainable Living Stage offered practical inspiration and expert advice across a range of topics including sustainable living, circular design and mindful consumption. The programme complemented the values shared by many of the makers exhibiting within the Craft Village.
6. Future Heirlooms
For many visitors, Bloom provided the opportunity to invest in handcrafted pieces with lasting value. From bespoke jewellery and homeware to artworks and textiles, visitors took home unique creations made to be treasured for years to come.
