Since 2019, the Neomateria Talks have nurtured a rich exchange among creators, including artisans, makers, and designers from various countries.
In Dublin, as part of Irish Design Week 2023, amidst the presence of workshop experts, we will delve into the perspectives of the event’s promoters and curators, represented by Materfad (Barcelona), CFA at NCAD and DCCI along with industry leaders. Our discussions will revolve around the themes explored in the Neomateria exhibition and workshops: ‘BioMaterials to Wear?’ and ‘Rethinking human hair.’ This significant discussion will be led by Robert D. Thompson, Materfad’s Scientific Director. We will tap into the invaluable insights of companies, to shed light on the future possibilities of these materials and knowledge gathered over the course of the three-day workshops.
This talk will take place in-person in the Harry Clark Theatre, NCAD, 5-7pm on Thursday 16th November and will also be live streamed.
