Alana Conlon

Alana Conlon is a designer based in Dublin. With a background in traditional fashion design, Alana recently completed a Masters of Arts in Digital Fashion in the University for the Creative Arts, UK. Their work explores design that permeates the digital and physical world and they use 3D design software to explore the relationship between fashion and storytelling. They have always loved Irish Mythology and a large amount of their work is inspired by this. Alana grew up between the sea and the mountains and takes inspiration from the Irish landscape. They rework things they see outdoors, sketch them in their unique illustration style to create new modern motifs. Alanas work recreates Irish myths with a contemporary digital twist. Utilising 3D modelling they create digital alter egos and ethereal utopias that grow into physical designs. Their most recent collection is based on Immram Bran. They created a series of digitally printed silk scarfs and are continuing to release new garments.
