Handmade Tiles

Hand Painted Tile Panels. Mosaics. Throughout history tiles have been appreciated for their decorative value, from the temples of Islam to the beautiful facades of victorian England. I am interested in reviving and perhaps updating these old crafts. I have a particular interest in the use of ceramics on the exterior of buildings. In these days of severe air pollution in our cities, this ease of maintainence of a tiled surface has obvious advantages. In these days of homogenised public buildings, tiles may prove a useful way to inject colour and individuality into our streetscapes.
