Born from a passion for all things natural, since 2010 Emma Fallon has designed and created, in Ireland, a collection of natural, high quality, plant-based candles and home fragrance products. Each one scented with her own unique & inspired blends of pure essential oils. Her hand-crafted collection comes beautifully packaged in an Irish designed and printed floral box.
Emma’s broad experience and knowledge of design, aromatherapy, natural perfumery, and herbalism informs her creation of these products that promote natural, plant-based fragrances and ingredients. All of the packaging used is designed and printed in Ireland and is refillable, reusable, recyclable or compostable and the entire trove of all-natural products have been developed to be vegan and palm free, proving that conscientious can also be luxurious!
The very first thing I do is to fill and turn on the wax melter. A full pot takes a few hours to completely melt and so while that’s happening I prep the candle containers and essential oil blends for the fragrance I’m making that day.
I’ll clean, label and box the previous day’s candles and I’ll pack any orders that have come in or respond to any calls or emails that need attention. When I’m blending the wax with essential oils, it’s all very temperature and time sensitive so I must have all that other stuff done and out of the way before I actually start to pour any candles.
Be brave and be unique. I set out to create a different, all-natural alternative product to the generic types that were widely available at the time. Think of how you can set yourself apart from others producing similar crafts to your own.

Emmas So Naturals
I never get bored of a fragrance. My studio smells amazing and I’m surrounded by those smells and brightly coloured boxes all day. I love that I’ve created everything myself, from the unique essential oil blends and I’ve started designing the artwork and labels for my newer fragrance collections, which is very satisfying.
I have a small driftwood sail-boat made by Michelle of Shell’s Driftwood. I grew up in Skerries by the sea and having this boat reminds me of the beach and sailing as a kid.
What other maker in your discipline do you most look up to?
I love anyone that is truly creating unique products, more than simply assembling parts. Karen at Soilse candles has created a lovely brand and fragrance collection that I admire.
Where I live now, on the banks of Lough Ree, I’m surrounded by trees and birds. The dawn chorus makes the morning time something really special. I love that the birds wake me and I get to enjoy them in such close proximity.
How do you switch off?
I’m lucky that I love creating everyday but when its been particularly busy with the non-craft aspects of the business, I like to escape to the garden to care for my herbs and vegetables or take time out exploring new places.
