Divine Gallery of Crafts is a small Irish business run by Svetlana, and her daughter, Kay. They specialise in handcrafted natural beauty, spa and wellness products. Their aim is to promote well made products to benefit not only your skin but also your body, mind and soul.
Divine Gallery of Crafts was awarded Peoples Choice Award 2023 by Micro Business Awards. They have donated earnings and products to charities to aid them. Divine Gallery of Crafts is forever growing and continues to receive support and love from returning customers and new ones.
A typical day starts off with social media work and online shop management for Kay, while Svetlana is the magic hands behind our products, we are fortune enough to have a big kitchen where she is able to create all of her products as we still work from home as a small business, Svetlana likes to hand make her usual product selection and when she has free time, she uses her knowledge and tries to come up with new recipes and product ideas.
You will have days where you feel stuck or that maybe you're not happy with the product you have created and you'll spend days or weeks trying to improve and perfect it so that you can show it to people. You have to be willing to learn something constantly.

It is awarding when we receive feedback and positive words about our products, it helps us keep motivated and proud to know that there are people out there who genuinely love what we create and that it helps benefit their health whether it be for their skin, body or even their mental health.
We often create gift boxes for customers for their loved ones and it has been heart warming to hear how happy our gift boxes has made someone. We also love to share the knowledge we have regarding our products and spread a positive message about self care which is very rewarding for us.
Feeling unmotivated during slow seasons but we understand that our product is not like food where you would purchase is everyday, there will be weeks or months until a return customer orders something again but sometimes there are days where you feel like you wish you could be doing more even though you have reached a limit. We never let anything stop us though and work through our hardships.
What other maker in your discipline do you most look up to?
We do not have a favourite but we have been very lucky to meet other small business owners like us which we have become friends with, we all support each other and motivate one another to achieve our goals.
What advice would you give someone who is considering this craft career?
There is a lot of content on tiktok these days about DIY self care products, especially soaps or body butters but there is a lot of research and knowledge that must go into this type of craft. There are safety concerns to learn about, skin types, reactions, what certain oils do and don’t do, there is a lot to learn in reality and it is not as easy as you would see online, it is a big commitment but an awarding one if you want to make people happy and want to make them FEEL happy!
