As a marine professional with a background in sail training, Grant developed a fascination with movement in nature – sails harnessing the wind, yachts cutting through water and leaves catching the breeze. These fluctuations inspired him to pursue a career as a sculptor. Largely self-taught, he learnt from experts, working alongside shipwrights during his time at sea and built his own skills and experience through practice and experiments. GRANT DESIGNS, established in 2017, was a natural progression for his love of creating nautical, botanical & conceptual art.
