Perfect for beginners, this course covers all the essentials: forming, soldering and texturing a silver ring band, creating a bezel setting, and securely setting your stone.

- It’s also an ideal foundation in gemstone setting, providing the skills and confidence to progress to our flush & star setting course on 20/21 August, which in turn sets you up perfectly for the more advanced channel setting course (22/23 August).

Know Your Instructor
Eimear Vize is an award-winning jewellery designer, maker, and educator based in Inistioge, County Kilkenny. She has exhibited her jewellery in the National Museum of Ireland, Collins Barracks, Dublin, and the National Craft Gallery, Kilkenny, among other venues.
Eimear is known for her warm, encouraging teaching style and her ability to demystify complex techniques for beginners. She is the DCCI jewellery tutor on the BA (Hons) Jewellery & Goldsmithing course in Kilkenny. Eimear is also a founding member of the Irish Jewellery and Silversmiths Guild and a member of MADE in Kilkenny.
