Founded in Greystones, Co Wicklow, LaLuna Goodness is a premium home fragrance brand dedicated to sustainability, craftsmanship, and the magic of scent. All candles are hand-poured in small batches using 100% soy wax, vegan-friendly fragrance oils, and ethical sourcing practices.
LaLuna’s signature scents don’t follow trends—they tell stories. With evocative names drawn from the stars and lunar mythology, each unisex fragrance invites you to explore a new dimension of scent: one that’s unexpected, soulful, and quietly powerful.
Each day is different, as there are many components to candle making.
Phase 1 is the planning, stock control, cleaning and labelling of the vessels.
Phase 2 is the wicking, blending and pouring – It’s a temperature-dependent process—so every minute counts.
Phase 3 leave them all to set for 24 hours, trim the wick, re-clean and store in a dark box.
I love meeting my customers at either Craft Markets or customer events. I can natter all day.
Having to be self motivated.
I love Art (especially photography),Ceramics, Furniture and Armchairs. Signature pieces made or created locally fill me with joy, but, my favourite pieces have to be our lightfittings by Eoin in Copperfish Lighting, another Wicklow business.
Who is your inspiration?
I’m deeply influenced by the women who carved the way before me—those who built beautiful, meaningful businesses with heart, resilience, and creativity. The ones who broke the Glass Ceiling.

Where do you get your inspiration?
Inspired by The Moon – her quiet phases and a gentle reminder we can start again. LaLuna is about slowing down, living intentionally and choosing what feels good, for You and the Earth
Is sustainability an important aspect of your business?
I only use 100% soy wax, vegan-friendly fragrance oils formulated in the EU (They are made to withstand the heat of a flame while keeping the flowers for the Bees) and source exclusively from small, ethical producers across Ireland and the EU. It’s slow, small-batch production with real care — not mass-market or greenwashed.
What’s the most challenging part of your craft?
One of the most challenging parts, for me .. is balancing creative flow with production demands. Hand-pouring candles to exact recipes while maintaining scent consistency can be tricky if you are not fully focused on the task at hand.
The business side of things is definitely the biggest challenge for me — I’m a creative at heart (and a bit of a procrastinator by nature), so balancing the practical demands of running a business and being a maker can be demanding.
What made you choose your discipline?
LaLuna began with a simple shift – I wanted to choose better for Me, and my family, less chemicals in the home. I began with bath salts and it organically grew form there over 3 years, eventually launching in September 2021
What would you say to anyone thinking of becoming a DCCI member
Definitely apply. No crafter or maker is “too small”. The application process is uncomplicated. It’s a proud stamp that tells customers our products are Irish-made and crafted with care.
