Have you ever made your own kite? All you need are some simple items and your own endless imagination! We have teamed up with Creative Ireland to help you create your very own unique kite that you can fly along with lots of other children on this year’s Cruinniú na nÓg on Saturday 13th June.

On that day, you can fly your colourful kites (up to the highest height!) in gardens and parks while keeping socially distanced from each other. You will also have the chance to celebrate this year’s national day of creativity in your local area by sharing your colourful images and videos on social media. Using the hashtags #GetIrelandMaking and/or #CreativeIreland, you'll have a chance of featuring on DCCI’s and Creative Ireland’s accounts too!

DCCI has been running online live workshops and video tutorials to show you how to make your own wonderful kites in the weeks leading up to 13th June. Our brilliant artists and craftspeople show you what you need and how to make a kite at home!
