Martina Shannon is an Irish artist and designer, based in Sallins, County Kildare, Ireland. She graduated from NCAD (National College of Art & Design) in 2016 with an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Art & Artefact. The mission behind her work is to transform waste (factory floor waste, discarded materials) into art and design objects — turning what would otherwise be discarded into meaningful creations. Her practice includes creating sculptures, installations, wall art, hats/fascinators, and wearable art, all with a focus on using reclaimed materials.
