Boosting sales and driving revenue

During the pandemic, DCCI developed the Made Local initiative to support the Irish design and craft industry, to boost sales and drive revenue for makers and the retailers that support them.

As makers continue to face challenges from the cost of living to soaring energy prices, ‘Made Local, Made to Last’ highlights the value and longevity of well-crafted products through a pop-up exhibition and a nationwide campaign.

A vibrant and immersive exhibition

The pop-up exhibition inspires consumers to spend their hard-earned money on something that will prove lasting to them, the maker and the environment and to think of Irish-made crafts, both for themselves and when giving gifts. The exhibition includes items from designers and makers across Ireland and focuses on cost-per-use and mindful consumption.

Shop sustainably

We are asking consumers to be mindful in their purchasing decisions. ‘Made Local’ products in textiles, fashion, ceramics, jewellery or any of the many other craft disciplines deliver excellent value for money. They are truly ‘Made to Last’ and will provide years of enjoyment and pleasure.
