The Council of Irish Fashion Designers (CIFD) is celebrating a season of bold creativity, sustainability, and local craftsmanship with its Autumn/Winter 2025 collections.

Featuring an abundance of colour, texture, and versatile designs, the collections reflect the CIFD’s commitment to supporting Irish makers and promoting conscious fashion.

These are confident, conscious, easy to wear collections – many sustainably crafted in lustrous, textured Irish tweeds and linens sourced from Emblem Weavers, Magee 1866, John Molloy, Triona and John Hanly.

Others come in luxuriously soft handle yarns including cashmere, superfine merino or blends of both fibres. Fine cords also make the grade. Silks are used as the base for a selection of original prints. Satins, brocades and mikado fabrics appear in distinctive party wear and ceremony clothes.

Jewellery, millinery and accessories collections compliment the fashion ranges in terms of ethically sourced materials, extensive choice, colour and texture for the new season.

The collections span life and living from workdays to weekends, from casual days to ceremony days, from day to after dark.

They are produced in small managed production runs or as bespoke orders to minimise waste and reduce carbon footprints.

New this year, CIFD welcomes eight new members, including Original Ireland, Monessa Joan, Marianne Kenny Jewellery, Sarah McEvoy Designs, Jennifer Slattery, August Night, and The Linen Shirt Company, bringing the total membership to 68. Further applications are currently under review.

Showcasing Irish Fashion Globally

CIFD continues to raise the international profile of Irish design. In collaboration with Tourism Ireland and the Embassy of Ireland in Paris, a series of heritage-focused fashion videos, featuring Éadach by Sara O’Neill, Caroline Duffy, Kindred of Ireland, Magee 1866, and Urban Aran, will be released weekly from 2nd September to 7th October, coinciding with Paris Fashion Week. These videos highlight the craftsmanship and storytelling behind the AW 2025 collections.

Additionally, CIFD will launch a digital catalogue for Spring/Summer 2026, showcasing 15 designers to retail buyers in France in partnership with Enterprise Ireland.
