A traditionally trained goldsmith Garrett works in precious metal and precious and semi precious stones. His work is inspired by the stories and culture of Ireland and combines textures and metals in a signature style. Garrett works from his open to view studio in the medieval village of Carlingford and he creates bespoke pieces and works to commission from here. His work has won numerous awards over the years and has created pieces for Irish and visiting Presidents as well as other notable commissions. Garrett's work is also sold in a number of quality stores in Ireland Canada and the US. In 2014 he opened Garrett Mallon Design House where he also showcases a curated collection of Irish craft in many disciplines from across the island of Ireland.
