Rainbow Curve Corsetry Rainbow Curve Corsetry

I am trained as a textile conservator, but always had a passion for alternative fashion and geeky hobbies. I longed to be able to express my creativity more fully, but my trained profession did not offer the outlet I desired despite getting to study historical garments. Rainbow Curve Corsetry, has been creating unique bespoke garments for a range of clients in the Netherlands and abroad. My wearable art is known for its highly detailed otherworldly style. I love working with hand-dyed fabrics, high-quality materials using a range of craft and textile techniques. I view the structured garment of the corset as my three-dimensional artist’s canvas and I am not afraid to try out other materials. My aesthetic is colourful, whimsical & detailed. The designs are inspired by 19th century fashion, nature, high fantasy, and created with a touch of otherworldly magic. My work enables me to rekindle a childlike longing for the realm of fantasy and to escape in the beauty of nature.
