Tabula. A new visual identity for Notre Dame de Paris Walk-Talk / A Performed Conference at the Heart of Creation
Ireland: Dublin, Limerick, Cork
Join us on a captivating voyage through the history and rebirth of Notre Dame de Paris, as French designer Laurent Ungerer unveils the creative process of designing its new visual identity.
Presented by the French Embassy in Ireland as part of Irish Design Week, Tabula is a unique Walk-Talk performance. The project offers audiences a rare opportunity to explore the creative process behind the new visual identity of Notre Dame de Paris, conceived by Ungerer and his agency c-album in collaboration with the Diocese of Paris after the devastating fire.
Through an innovative performed conference format, Tabula blends history, spirituality, and cutting-edge design. Using eight large notebooks inspired by medieval manuscripts, animated live by designers under the guidance of a “master of time,” the performance takes audiences on a journey into the rebirth of one of the world’s most iconic landmarks.

Commissioned in 2020, the project explores symbolism, writing systems, color, light, and even artificial intelligence, reflecting on how to balance Notre-Dame’s dual role as a place of worship and a global cultural site. Touring Dublin, Limerick, and Cork from 17–21 November, Tabula is an immersive encounter where history, art, and innovation converge.
