Digital artist Carmel Grant has a passion for making people happy by capturing memories and creating keepsakes with her humorous designs. Originally from Leixlip County Kildare, Carmel studied textiles in NCAD and worked as a woven textile designer for the fashion, craft, and home markets in the United States textile industry for ten years. Bringing the business experience back to Waterford, Carmel began a home craft business designing handbags and beaded jewellery, which later developed into creating caricature designs. Carmel began her digital art business as Caricatures by Carmel in 2013 and relaunched in January 2024 as Carmel Grant Designs.
