Join Design & Crafts Council Ireland as Digital Marketing Manager and help grow the reach and impact of Ireland’s leading design and crafts organisation.
Reporting directly to the Head of Digital and Communications, the successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the effective design, planning, management and delivery of DCCI’s digital marketing strategy in line with the organisational strategy. Technically experienced, with a track record of delivering stand out campaigns and content to engage across various formats, channels and audiences, they will add value to the corporate and programme brands. Proven skill in designing, tracking and adjusting integrated marketing campaigns to deliver strategic objectives and KPIs will be central to the role.
The Digital Marketing Manager will work closely with the Communications and Public Affairs Manager and will be a core contributor across the organisation, ensuring that leading edge digital platforms, tools, methodologies and content are leveraged to achieve success. A confident and adaptable working style, with highly tuned interpersonal and project management skills, will be central to making a real impact across a small, dynamic organisation. This is a highly varied and rewarding role that will enable the successful candidate put their stamp on the success of the organisation and the design and crafts sector as a whole.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Digital Platforms, Marketing, Campaigns & Reporting
- Ownership of DCCI’s digital marketing and channel strategy, work with the team and appointed third-party agencies to deliver high-performing digital campaigns and content.
- Define and lead the direction of the central website – DCCI.ie – to ensure it delivers on brand, positioning and engaging user experience to support all relevant organisational objectives.
- Manage the existing and future digital presence for DCCI.ie, Design Ireland and Showcase Ireland, including web platforms, website marketing, social media marketing and all other DCCI.ie channels to support audience engagement with corporate and programme brands.
- Collaboration and input on CRM development and use to optimise synergies between it, websites and other digital marketing technologies and workflows.
- Liaise with programme managers and stakeholders to advise and ensure that content is highly compelling, visual and encompassing of the quality, vision and leadership appropriate to the primary national council for craft and design.
- Ensure that all digital content is up-to-date, prioritised as appropriate, accurate, meta-rich and that all external links are monitored and working.
- Managing and implementation of advertising campaigns across traditional and digital advertising channels as relevant – radio, print, PPC, Display, Retargeting and Paid Social.
- Work closely with Communications to develop and execute a content and social marketing strategy incorporating best practice to grow DCCI’s social media audience.
- Ensure visual brand is consistent and in line with guidelines across all organisational activity, and where new design is required, be point of contact for support and approval of same.
- Develop, monitor and report on marketing, campaigns, website and digital channel KPIs
- Generate and distribute reports and insights on channel and campaign performance to various stakeholders to demonstrate ROI, inform ongoing improvement, digital mindset, cross-functional decision-making and partner relationship building.
- Monitor digital channels frequently to ensure optimum functionality and market intelligence and opportunities.
Management & Collaboration
Manage a small team in the delivery of the digital programme.
- Champion and enable digital integration across the organisation through communications channels and other customer-facing digital solutions
- Work closely with the Communications and Public Affairs
- Manager to draw up objective-driven, engaging and measurable digital and communications plans for all campaigns
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on long and medium term planning while also being able to incorporate shorter term requirements if they arise.
- Brief, select and manage vendors, contractors and partner agencies as appropriate
- Manage agreed budgets and timely adherence to procurement policies and processes.
Skills required:
- Third level qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing or Digital Media.
- 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing, with at least 2 in a campaign or channel ownership capacity.
- Extensive experience managing websites and digital channels (WordPress, Salesforce, GA4)
- Email marketing and segmentation with use of Pardot/Salesforce MCAE desirable.
- Highly experienced in delivering leading edge, on brand digital content for varied audiences.
- Track record in efficient and effective use of leading technologies, tools and methodologies.
- Comfortable using AI tools to support content creation, analysis and workflow, while keeping editorial judgement, brand voice and accuracy firmly in human hands.
- Flexible working style – solution-oriented with ability to prioritise, adapt and take a hands-on approach as required in a dynamic work environment.
- Previous experience with government organisation/protocol is desirable.
- A professional and warm demeanour befitting a central role in a small organisation with many stakeholder groups and a large presence as a public facing national agency
- Ability to work independently and with teams in a fast-paced environment.
