Showcase 2024: Opening Ceremony

Heather Humphreys TD, Minister for Social Protection and Minister for Rural and Community Development, officially opened Showcase® – Ireland’s International Creative Expo® at the RDS, Dublin today, highlighting how important trade shows such as Showcase are to the design and crafts sector.

The Dancehall, The Table, The Tree

Building on the success of last year’s fashion event The Dancehall, The Table, The Tree, conceived by Creative Director Aisling Farinella combined live singing, contemporary music, energetic Irish dance, visuals and choreographed model movement in a cross disciplinary showcase of Irish design.

Wool Chronicles: Heritage & Horizon

Hear a mix of national and international wool related businesses and researchers share their knowledge and experiences of Irish wool’s heritage, present market conditions and where they see the potential for Irish grown wool. Watch back as we navigated the sustainability, traceability and viability of Irish grown wool. Moderated by Rebecca Marsden for the Irish Grown Wool Council.

Wool Yarns: From Ewe to Sku
Join seasoned stalwarts and new entrants working with Irish grown wool across fashion, design and homewares. Listen to their stories entwine as they discuss the possibilities by exploring past glories, present challenges and future commercial opportunities for Irish grown wool.
Your 20 Minute AI Makeover
Join Maryrose Lyons, Founder of the AI Institute, an accomplished digital marketing consultant know for innovation as she guides the audience through AI and its place in your business.

The Accelerator Programme launch
The programme is being delivered in two stages between March and December 2024, with 10 companies receiving €5,000 during the programme’s first phase, and then a shortlist of five companies receiving another €5,000 in the second phase.

The Future of Irish Grown Wool
Join seasoned stalwarts and new entrants working with Irish grown wool across fashion, design and homewares. Listen to their stories entwine as they discuss the possibilities by exploring past glories, present challenges and future commercial opportunities for Irish grown wool.
Closing Ceremony
After a very successful 3 days, Showcase 2024 came to a close on Tuesday 23rd January 2024. Watch back the closing ceremeony where we highlighted some of the key successes and impact of the 3 days and celebrated all the buyers, exhibitors and award winners.
