Press Releases

Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) is delighted to announce the return of the DCCI Irish Craft Village to one of Ireland’s most anticipated summer events, Bord Bia Bloom, which will be celebrating 20 years of the show. Taking place from Thursday, 28th May to Monday, 1st June in the Phoenix Park, Dublin, this year sees DCCI bring 65 makers from across the country together as part of the Made Local campaign, celebrating the very best of Irish design and craft.

Across five days, DCCI designers, makers and craftspeople will present and sell their work to an expected audience of over 100,000 visitors, where attendees can shop and connect directly with Irish makers. Located at the heart of the festival, the DCCI Irish Craft Village will feature 52 retail stands, showcasing a diverse range of design and craft disciplines including textiles, ceramics, jewellery, woodturning, glass, and homeware. Visitors can discover thoughtfully made, locally produced pieces while supporting Irish businesses through the Made Local initiative.

Those looking to shop, can explore a wide selection of Made Local brands within the village, with exhibitors including Capulet and Montague; Run Baby Run Pottery; Bofin Weaves and Siobhán Daly Designs. Each maker brings a distinctive perspective and craftsmanship, offering pieces that are both meaningful and made to last. A full list of exhibitors is available below.

Mary Blanchfield, CEO of Design & Crafts Council Ireland, said:
“We’re excited to bring the DCCI Irish Craft Village once again to Bord Bia Bloom, creating a space where visitors can experience the depth and diversity of Irish craft firsthand. Bloom offers an invaluable platform for makers to showcase their work, tell their stories, and engage directly with a wide audience. Through our Made Local campaign, we’re proud to support Irish designers and craftspeople in building sustainable businesses while encouraging the public to choose locally made, unique, high-quality products. We look forward to another inspiring and successful year at Bloom 2026.”

Made Local champions the originality, quality, sustainability and value of Irish designed and craft-made products. With more than 1,400 makers featured on MadeLocal.ie, the initiative continues to connect consumers with authentic Irish craft and design. This year’s exhibitors have been selected from 152 applications, representing a wide spread of counties and disciplines and 34% of participants are new to the DCCI Irish Craft Village, reflecting the continued growth and diversity of the sector.

In addition to retail, the village will host a dynamic programme of live demonstrations from DCCI’s Guilds, Associations, Networks and Societies (GANS). These sessions will offer festivalgoers a closer look at traditional and contemporary craft techniques, with seven participating groups including Feltmakers Ireland; Fibreshed Ireland; Guild of Irish Lacemakers; Irish Artist Blacksmiths Association; Irish Patchwork Society; Irish Woodturners Guild; and Na Píobairí Uillean highlighting the rich heritage and evolving innovation within Ireland’s craft sector.
