Ann Kenny is an illustrator, print artist and writer based in Co Wexford, with a story to tell. She set up her business Ann Makes Books in 2020 and began to sell her illustrations for children online. Her work was instantly popular, and she went on to develop a range of fine art prints for children, handbound notebooks, and a collection of unique greeting cards. Ann's original art work and limited edition prints now sell in a number of galleries in Ireland. Everything Ann makes is inspired by stories. "I love stories in every shape and form. I love to write them, read them and draw them! Each of my pieces has a story to tell. Some are illustrations from books I've written, others are from stories yet to be discovered and written. They are like sign posts for me to remember to follow in the future." Working from her home studio in Wexford and the Black Church Print Studio in Dublin, she uses traditional printing techniques combined with collage to create her original work.
