Art Silk Ball Textile Laboratory is the textile design and research studio of Olana Kucher, an Castlecomer-based designer, textile artist and researcher with almost 30 years of professional experience. She holds a Master’s degree in Fashion and Design. Her practice combines Irish textile heritage, Donegal Tweed and luxury silk across textile and product design. She creates silk scarves, textile accessories, textile artworks and bespoke interior textiles. Her research focuses on textile terroir, circular design, bio-based materials, biocomposites and material innovation.
