Orla's gra for fashion began when she got a sewing machine after completing her junior cert, art was always Orla's favourite subject with pencil sketching as a favourite. Orla won her heat in junk couture while in transition year after spending 8 months completing her design. When she lived in London she completed a dress making course in prestigious costumiers, Prangsta. Orla also had a fashion blog and fashion column in the Limerick Leader before starting to sketch up her own designs for her alpaca knitwear pieces. Orla worked in the creative industry, advertising giving her lots of practical experience to start her business.
