Ian is an award winning Product Designer who now has turned his talent to designing and making furniture. He designs both one off, bespoke pieces as well as small batch run furniture. He has a keen eye for detail which he perfected training under some of the best makers and designers in the industry. Born and raised in Ireland, Ian always had a passion for making things. From an early age he helped his father make gates and furniture to help the family make a bit of extra cash. While in school he took subjects like wood work, engineering and technical drawing which was where he started refining his making skills. Ian later attended the DIT where he received his BSc. in Product Design. It was in 2015 when he moved to London and took up a position as a Software Engineer. For 7 years Ian worked in banking, until the summer of 2021 when he left banking and started his training in Robinson House Studio.
