“Jackie Maurer is an Irish ceramic artist and educator who lives and works in the Burren, Ballyvaughan, Co. Clare. She has been practicing and teaching in the field of ceramics for over 15 years. Trained initially through traditional apprenticeships and the Thomastown Pottery Skills Course, she later completed a first-class honours degree in Ceramics at Limerick School of Art and Design in 2012. Since then, she has established her studio on the Burren shoreline and continues to develop a distinctive ceramic practice that weaves together traditional skills, sculptural and wearable forms, and a strong, visually driven connection to place.
