Oana Alexandra

I make functional ceramic art from scratch in my studio at The Craft Yard in Castlecomer. I’ve spent the last 5+ years gaining the training and experience needed to develop my work, and over the past year I’ve focused on establishing my own studio and building a strong foundation for my business. All my designs are my own, and I enjoy experimenting with clay and decorative techniques, which is reflected in the variety of pieces I create. Commissions are always welcome, as they challenge my creativity. My work is centred around the idea of bringing a sense of enjoyment and quiet pleasure into everyday life through objects that are both functional and thoughtfully made. This is where the idea of “functional ceramic art” comes from, and it continues to evolve with my practice. ☺️
