Oona Hyland is an Irish visual artist and a recent graduate with an MA in art research and collaboration from IADT in Dublin (2022) and an MPhil in Irish Art History TCD (2017). She has during the last few years been on numerous residencies, among them Fundacion Joan Miro, Agalab Amsterdam, BKN Sweden, Edition Basel and Typa Museum in Estonia. She was shortlisted for The On Paper Print Award in Barcelona (2021). She received The Emerging Artist Award from DLR, Dublin (2022). in 2023/24I am creating a series of hand dyed fabrics using natural dyes and printing via woodblock onto raw silk and linen fabrics. I will be making silk scarves and other fabric based creations in 2023-24. I also make artists books, prints and cards. I am a member of VAI, Mart Studios Dublin, Graphic Studio Ireland and the International artists group 9 Dragonheads. Projects in 2024 include exhibitions in Venice, Berlin, Donegal and Dublin.
