Owen Quinlan is a Galway-based artist and educator. Since 2010, he has exhibited, lectured and demonstrated widely, both nationally and internationally. His studio practice is focused on the physical and communicative properties of ceramic materials, exploring how they connect us to history, culture and our lived environments. Material, process and meaning are investigated through an ongoing engagement with materials and the transformative alchemy of the firing process. Owen teaches on the Ceramics in Expanding Practice Programme at Limerick School of Art & Design and works from his studio in Gort, Co. Galway.
