Rachel McDonnell Glass

I'm Rachel a fused and stained glass artist and maker behind Rachel McDonnell Glass, based in Limerick City. I am a Fine Art graduate from the Crawford College of Art and Design, Cork. This was where I was introduced to the magical material of glass. Spending part of my childhood in the wilds of County Mayo. I have developed a deep appreciation for the Irish landscape and this has fed into my glass making practice. I can often be found crushing, sifting, bending and painting glass which I then delicately layer to create my fused glass pieces. I love to be out in Nature taking inspiration or collecting snippings of Wild Irish foliage from walks along the Shannon River which I then fire into the glass. All my work is one of a kind.
