For over 20 years, I have worked professionally with clay, specialising in porcelain and white stoneware. While based in London for 18 years, I studied ceramics part-time at City & Islington before establishing and running my ceramics business there for 15 years. At the end of 2020, I returned home to Ireland, and in May 2023, I re-established my practice full-time. Porcelain continues to fascinate me—the challenge of working to near paper-thin delicacy, the way it moves and transforms in the final high firing, creating organic, one-of-a-kind forms. My work embraces the balance between porcelain’s fragility and its inherent strength, exploring its translucency while maintaining form and function.
