Following on from her solo show ‘What we carry with us’ do not miss this chance to hear designer and artist Joanne Hynes explore ideas on the origin stories in each of us and how we navigate narratives through practice.
Bringing together an intimate conversation between Choreographer John Scott (Irish Modern Dance Theatre) and Clíodhna Ní Anluain, (visual artist and RTÉ Arts and Culture producer) the panel will unpick the crossover, richness and possibilities in what we carry with us.
Origin stories shape the very core of our existence, anchoring us in the vast ocean of humanity. Each individual carries a unique tale, woven by ancestry, culture, and personal experiences. Exploring these narratives unveils a rich tapestry of diversity. In the realm of design practice, understanding these origin stories becomes a compass, guiding creatives through the labyrinth of human expression.
By acknowledging and honouring our origin stories, design becomes a powerful tool for inclusivity, celebrating the richness of human existence while shaping a future that echoes the collective experiences of all.
