DCCI’s Jewellery and Goldsmithing Centre of Excellence will be welcoming the first cohort of Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Jewellery and Goldsmithing in September. This programme is being run in partnership with ATU.

Open days

In advance of the student’s arrival, our Education team are working on site at Sessions House and are offering weekly drop in Open Days to the community.

Open Days are taking place 4pm – 6pm every Tuesday and Thursday until August 22nd.

Sessions House building

Sessions House, the former courthouse in the town, had been vacant since 2005 before being renovated and fitted out for the Jewellery School with work completing in 2023.

If you are interested in seeing what’s behind the blue doors on Logans Street and how this historic building has been refurbished to accommodate this fresh start, please join us to take a wander through the space.

Heritage week

If you are unable to attend the Open Days during the week, but want to find out more, local historian Joseph Doyle will be offering a free guided talk as part of Heritage Week events from 11am – 12:30pm on August 17th.
