The Révélations Biennial is a leading event in art and design. Founded in 2013 by Ateliers d’Art de France, Révélations has established itself as a key landmark in the global fine crafts calendar.

The biennial is a curated international marketplace where exceptional savoir-faire is expressed through original works created specifically for the event. The 2027 Révélations programme offers a unique opportunity for Irish makers as Ireland has been chosen as the Country of Honour at the Grand Palais in Paris. As country of honour, working in conjunction with approximately 35 makers, Ireland will represent work under a curated theme for the show from May 19th-23rd 2027. Révélations represents the highest level of contemporary fine Craftsmanship and the 2027 programme offers a unique opportunity for Irish makers to play a pivotal role in this international showcase.

Eligibility Criteria


All applicants must:

  • be current members of DCCI
  • commit to providing up to date and accurate information, as required
  • have usage rights for all images submitted
  • agree that content submitted can be used for promotional purposes on DCCI website and social media networks
  • produce new work in line with the chosen theme and this work must be available for sale
  • be available to attend the show in person for a pre-defined period of time

Important Dates


  • Applications Open : Thursday 16th April 2026
  • Application Close : Sunday 3rd May 2026
  • If you are shortlisted  you will need to be available to drop a sample of your work to Gowran Park, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny on Monday 11th or Tuesday 12th May 2026 for final selection. You must also be available to collect your submitted work on the afternoon of Friday 15th May 2026.

How to Apply


  • To apply, complete the online application form and submit the required materials before the closing date.
  • Applicants must submit 3 pieces of work, with 3–5 images of each piece, alongside:
    • An artist statement
    • A CV outlining professional experience, exhibitions and awards
  • All work submitted must be recent (within the last 2 years)

Judging Process


An international panel will be tasked by DCCI to review and assess the applications for Révélations. The panel will be looking for work that demonstrates excellence in design, craftsmanship, innovation, and technical skill to world-class standards.

PORTFOLIO

We are delighted to open up the application process for an updated publication in 2026 followed by a curated exhibition in the National Design & Craft Gallery (NDCG) in early 2027.

PORTFOLIO is an enduring programme which celebrates contemporary and design-led craft of the highest quality. The PORTFOLIO programme showcases work for the high-end gallery market and its publication is widely recognised and respected across the national and international fine craft communities.

 

Note: Applicants may apply for either Portfolio or Revelations or both programmes, depending on their practice, capacity, and professional goals, as each offers distinct but complementary opportunities.

Révélations 2025


The 7th edition of Révélations, created and organised by Ateliers d’Art de France, closed its doors on 25 May 2025 after five exciting days under the glass roofs of the Grand Palais. With 550 creators from 35 countries and more than 45,000 visitors – representing a 24% increase over the previous edition – this event confirmed its status as the leading international platform for fine crafts.

Révélations 2025 attracted a diverse audience, ranging from collectors to luxury professionals, interior designers and museum curators. The exchanges were rich and the business opportunities numerous. This unifying event once again proved its appeal thanks to a demanding and inspiring programme.
